Prepping the Fencing

Power washing alone can sometimes restore vibrancy if the existing finish just needs a good cleaning. Next we scrape any remaining loose paint using paint scrapers, putty knives and wire brushes. Then we sand to smooth and even the surface. Prepping properly ensures the new paint or stain bonds well.

Priming and Painting

For paint jobs, priming is essential to create a uniform surface for the paint to adhere to. Priming also often requires 2 coats. After allowing proper dry time, we apply your choice of exterior paint colors—typically 2 finish coats for full coverage.

Then we apply your choice of solid, semi-transparent or transparent stains. Solid stains provide more opaque coverage like paint, while transparent stains allow more of the wood grain to show through. Two coats of stain ensures full saturation and protection on all surfaces. Staining nourishes and seals the wood.

Cleanup and Finishing Touches

As the final step, we’ll do a complete site clean up, removing any leftover paint or stain drips from surfaces, plants, grass or hardscapes.
